Subject: WINDOW 6-E - STARFIELD PHENOMENON - INVESTIGATION
Originator: [REDACTED]
This report documents an anomalous window on the 6th floor of Building [REDACTED]. Window 6-E, located at the end of the east corridor, displays a view of stars moving at high velocity - consistent with depictions of faster-than-light travel in popular media. The window is on the 6th floor of an office building in downtown [REDACTED]. It should not show stars. It does. The stars move at what astronomers estimate to be warp speed.
Visual Content. The window displays a field of stars with a pronounced blue shift in the centre of view and red shift at the edges - an effect consistent with relativistic travel at approximately 0.9999 times the speed of light. The star pattern changes over time, indicating actual movement through space. The view does not correspond to any known position in the night sky. The stars appear to be moving somewhere.
Temporal Observations. The starfield has been observed continuously since the phenomenon was first reported in 2019. The window shows the same view at all times of day and night. The stars do not dim when sunlight should obscure them. The view does not change when the window is covered or when the room lights are turned off. The stars are always there. They are always moving.
Structural Anomaly. The window is a standard double-pane office window measuring 48 by 60 inches. It was installed in 2003 during a building renovation. The window's position on the 6th floor should provide a view of the adjacent parking structure and the downtown skyline. Those features are visible through all other windows on the 6th floor. Window 6-E shows stars.
Hypothesis A - Advanced Display. The window has been replaced with a high-resolution video display that simulates a starfield. The display is programmed to show a warp-speed effect for unknown reasons. The display technology is sophisticated enough to be indistinguishable from a real window. The purpose of this installation is unknown. The responsible party has not come forward.
Hypothesis B - Dimensional Rift. The window opens onto a different point in space-time - specifically, the viewport of a spacecraft travelling at relativistic velocity. The window is acting as a portal between Building [REDACTED] and a vessel traversing interstellar space. The occupants of that vessel may be unaware that their viewport is also serving as office window 6-E.
Hypothesis C - The Building Is Moving. Building [REDACTED] is not stationary. It is moving through space at extraordinary velocity. The other windows do not show this because they are shielded or because the effect is only visible in one specific orientation. Window 6-E faces the direction of travel. The building is going somewhere. The committee does not know where.
Window 6-E shows stars moving at what appears to be warp speed. The committee recommends covering the window during meetings to avoid distraction. The question of where the building is going remains unanswered. Navigation is not the committee's responsibility.
